Dr. Werner Behnisch studied chemistry and biology and graduated from the University of Munich in 1982 with a degree in biology and received a Ph.D. in this field in 1988. He qualified as a German patent attorney in 1992 and as a European patent attorney in 1994. Dr. Behnisch became a partner of Reinhard Skuhra Weise & Partner in 1995.

The main focus of his work is life sciences, including biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular genetics, immunology, microbiology, diagnostics and pharmaceutics. He has also broad experience in organic and inorganic chemistry. He is responsible for RSW's trademark department and handles national, Community and international trademarks, mostly on behalf of chemical and pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Behnisch is a member of AIPPI, FICPI, INTA, LES and of the German-Japanese Society.
