The winter semester is coming to an end. Once again, our patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law from isarpatent® have introduced interested TUM students to the topic of “Patent Law” as part of the annual lecture “Practice-oriented introduction to intellectual property law with special consideration of university inventions”. In addition to patents, other relevant areas of intellectual property are dealt with in detail, namely design protection, protection of domains and trademarks as well as utility models. The path from the idea to obtaining the respective property right, its legal enforcement before the courts and its commercial exploitation, in particular in the context of company spin-offs, are examined. For different technical fields, separate groups of students then deepen their knowledge of the patenting possibilities for inventions in the respective field using practical case studies. In the coming winter semester, our experts will be lecturing here again. We are looking forward to it.
