For more than 15 years now, the attorneys at isarpatent® have been organizing a series of lectures on intellectual property law at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) on a regular basis during the winter semester. This lecture offers participating students a well-founded overview of the various areas of intellectual property, in particular with regard to patents, utility models, trademarks, domains and designs. The path from the invention to the patent or to obtaining the respective property rights, their legal enforcement before the courts and the economic exploitation of the property rights are considered. The lecture shows various possibilities for the protection and exploitation of university inventions and research results, for example in the context of company spin-offs (start-ups) or in the context of cooperation with industry. Practical case studies are used to deepen the knowledge imparted about the possibilities of patenting inventions in various technical fields and branches of study.
The next lecture series will start again in October 2024.
